A NEW shopping website which won a Government-backed contest for start-ups is allowing users to cut the costs of goods by playing games.
The SLIDR site says it sells goods such as iPads, Prada handbags and Xbox consoles at bargain prices.
Customers can buy credits and use them tactically to reduce prices further.
The UK is its first market. But it emerged in a contest run by the UK Lebanon Tech Hub and is a joint venture between the UK embassy in Beirut and Lebanon’s central bank BANQUE DU LIBAN.
